Edward Morgan is a Ph.D candidate in Mechanical Engineering at Louisiana State University, with a minor in Computer Science. His research interests include robotics, dynamics and control, motion planning and physics-based simulation, with a particular focus on underwater vehicle-manipulator systems. His current work focuses on model-based control using uncertainty quantification methods, adaptive dynamics, and system modeling to improve the reliability and performance of autonomous robotic systems. He is also interested in differentiable simulation, GPU-accelerated dynamics, and bridging the gap between simulation and real-world robotic deployment.
